Job Description:
As the Senior Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible to lead the two Cost Analytics products within the Cost Modeling Pillar under Sales, Analytics Marketing & Sales (SAMS) Organization. In this role, you will report directly to the Director, Digital Fleet Modeling Leader and will be responsible for 2 products : WIP Analytics and Repair Analytics. WIP Analytics provides users visibility to shop costs while an engine is under repair. It helps users identify part level cost variances against targets to escalate and implement interventions. Repair Analytics is a Data & Analytics product that delivers insights on repair yield, repair exposure, scrap cause, and labor hours (touch time and queue time) across the entire network of Aviation component repair and overhaul shops. The tool will improve business outcomes for several Digital League 2.0 pillars, including cash, cost, TAT, demand and delivery.You will be responsible for working with the product management team and cross-functional stakeholders to understand the business challenges and leverage your digital & analytical background to create an integrated data and analytics solution for the Cost Product Pillar.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Own the two analytics products : WIP Analytics and Repair Analytics for Cost Modeling and operate in lockstep with product management to create a clear strategic execution plan, and convey that vision and business requirements to the scrum teams
  • Own the Analytics roadmap and strategy to support a unified landscape of Cost analytical tools improving user experience and adoption
  • Demonstrates excelling business acumen - understands key cost metrics and alerts needed to track cost performance.
  • Partner with teams in the design of efficient and scalable analytic solutions - dashboards, metrics, and reports by utilizing data analytics standards and procedures to improve business productivity and business outcomes
  • Collaborate with UI/UX team in design decisions, demonstrating deep understanding of technology stack and impact on final product  
  • Demonstrate Problem Solving skills by performing analysis to understand problems through drill-down exploration
  • Expert in Agile Methodology by owning the establishment / refinement of product backlog, continuously prioritize in accordance with business priorities
  • Responsible for translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications
  • Engage frequently with the development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement; contributes to the overall product design and decisions
  • Provide operational supports and stability of digital products : WIP Analytics and Repair Analytics

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

  • Aviation CSA knowledge and experience

  • Experience with Spotfire, Informatica and Dataiku
