Job Title: Molding Technician
Job DescriptionJoin our team at a leading manufacturing facility specializing in advanced composite materials as an entry-level Molding Technician. This hands-on role is perfect for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Full training is provided, and successful candidates will be considered for long-term hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with machine setup and operation.
- Load and unload materials and products from equipment.
- Follow detailed instructions to complete assigned tasks.
- Monitor machines and escalate issues to the Supervisor.
- Use hand tools and shop equipment as needed.
- Regulate machine settings (pressure, temperature, cure times) with guidance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Learn and follow quality inspection standards.
- Measure and visually inspect parts for defects using precision tools.
- Identify quality issues with oversight from senior technicians.
- Follow all PPE and safety procedures.
- Properly dispose of hazardous waste in designated areas.
- Support a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Skills- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, composites, or production preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform simple math and conversions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Team-oriented communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- A math test will be administered during the interview process.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic environment with two shift options: Day Shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday - Friday) and Swing Shift with a 5 shift differential (Monday - Friday). The facility maintains a focus on safety and cleanliness, ensuring a productive workspace for all employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.15/hr.
