We are seeking a Value Stream Manager to lead end-to-end performance for a key manufacturing value stream at our Toluca maquila operation, with direct reporting alignment to U.S.-based leadership. This role is responsible for driving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People results while building a culture of continuous improvement across production, materials, and support functions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader with strong Lean / CI capability, experience in cross-border reporting, and the ability to coordinate effectively across Mexico operations and U.S. stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities :
Own end-to-end performance of the value stream (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory).
Define and execute the value stream operating plan aligned with site and U.S. business priorities.
Lead daily management: tier meetings, KPI tracking, escalation, and fast countermeasures.
Ensure schedule adherence and customer on-time delivery in coordination with Planning and Logistics.
Drive capacity planning, labor strategy, and equipment readiness with Operations and Maintenance.
Lead cross-functional problem solving (RCA, CAPA) for quality, scrap, and downtime reduction.
Deploy Lean systems: standard work, pull/kanban, heijunka, SMED, visual management, 5S.
Identify and deliver productivity and cost-reduction projects; track savings and benefits realization.
Manage constraints and improve flow through the value stream (bottlenecks, WIP, lead time).
Develop and engage team leaders/supervisors; build a high-performance culture and accountability.
Ensure compliance with QMS/EHS requirements (ISO/IATF, audits, training, risk controls).
Communicate results, risks, and action plans to plant leadership and U.S. stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in manufacturing operations, including leadership of a value stream/area/production lines.
- Demonstrated ability to improve SQDC metrics using Lean and structured problem solving.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles and CI deployment (Kaizen, VSM, standard work, pull systems).
- Experience with KPIs (OEE, scrap, FPY, lead time, inventory turns) and data-based decisions.
- Proven cross-functional leadership (Operations, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Maintenance, Supply Chain).
- Experience in regulated/customer-driven environments (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 preferred).
- Financial acumen: cost control, budgeting, productivity tracking; P&L exposure preferred.
- Strong change management and coaching skills; ability to develop leaders and teams.
- Effective communication with U.S.-based teams; intermediate-to-advanced English preferred.
- ERP/MRP proficiency and advanced Excel; ability to translate data into actions.
- Availability to support shift/extended hours as business requires.
