About this position:

The Material Control Supervisor is responsible for the monitoring, recording and reporting of all parts inventory in the inventory database. The Material Control Supervisor takes general direction from the Senior Manager, Purchasing, Stores & Inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective, efficient and economical procedures to adequately monitor, record and report on all inventory including rotable assets when not installed on aircraft and ensures an accurate database is maintained.
  • Manage and successfully complete inventory counts - cyclical and year-end.
  • Liaise and interact with Accounting, Finance, Purchasing, Stores, Maintenance, Technical Records, Quality Assurance, Maintenance Support Shops and Computer Services when applicable.
  • Responsible for researching, recording and posting all transactions relative to the movement and updating of all rotable and consumable stock, with the assistance of the Material Control personnel.
  • Review all Material Control/Stores data entry functions and provide office training to staff as required.
  • Maintain records to effectively trace all relevant documentation on all purchases and repairs.
  • Assign daily tasks as well as special projects and related duties, to Material Control personnel.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a computerized inventory environment.
  • Previous experience with shipping, receiving, and customs considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in an airline Materials Management role considered an asset.
  • Previous supervisory training and/or experience considered an asset.
  • Must be familiar with MS office suite including advanced experience in Excel and Power BI.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
