STS Technical Services is hiring an experienced IT Business Architect to support enterprise-level digital transformation initiatives in Nashville, Tennessee. This full-time position plays a key role in aligning business goals with IT architecture and ensuring successful execution of critical strategies across systems, processes, and teams.
Position Summary:
As an IT Business Architect, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to design and implement scalable, value-driven digital solutions. You’ll analyze business capabilities, lead process improvements, contribute to enterprise architecture governance, and align operational goals with technical strategies.
This position serves as a strategic link between technology and the business, ensuring high-impact initiatives are effectively planned, designed, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze current and proposed digital solutions across business areas to recommend improvements
- Collaborate with business units to define requirements, business cases, and system needs
- Develop business architecture strategies aligned with company goals and enterprise roadmaps
- Partner with IT, Engineering, and business teams to design scalable digital solutions
- Support test planning and implementation to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Serve as a liaison between Service Desk and Application Management teams
- Structure and present key deliverables such as system mapping, business model analysis, and operational footprint reviews
- Participate in project planning and digital portfolio management, including prioritization, budgeting, and progress reporting
- Engage in continuous improvement and support global initiatives, including cross-functional collaboration with international teams
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of digital architecture, IT governance, and business process frameworks
- Experience using business analysis tools and methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, 5 Whys, process modeling)
- High attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (Microsoft O365 Suite)
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building abilities across departments
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and continuous improvement strategies
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- PMI-BA, Business Analyst, or Product Owner certifications preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in IT systems analysis, business architecture, or digital transformation
- Experience managing digital product lifecycles, roadmaps, and medium-scale IT projects
- Knowledge of portfolio management, budgeting, and performance tracking
- Portuguese language skills preferred (for global collaboration)
