Key Responsibilities

  • Full lifecycle responsibility for test cost and efficiency.
  • Continuously improve existing test systems—enhancing yield, reducing test times, and streamlining diagnostics.
  • Drive corrective actions to boost efficiency and product quality.
  • Define top-level test requirements for new product introductions and support seamless production integration.
  • Provide high-level diagnostic support for production.
  • Mentor and support diagnostic technicians and junior engineers.
  • Engage with customers to provide solutions and anticipate future needs.
  • Collaborate with design teams to support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
  • Provide technical input for bids and proposals.
  • Be an active and positive contributor to the wider engineering team.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of HND or Degree in Electronics or related subject (preferably Electronic Engineering).
  • Significant experience in functional test engineering within a high-reliability or defence manufacturing environment.
  • Broad understanding of electronic systems across multiple technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable solutions.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership.
  • Advanced diagnostic experience across a variety of technologies.
  • Demonstrated improvements in test efficiency and processes.
  • Confident communicator with strong technical presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who challenges the status quo and drives continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience working with defence or high-reliability systems.
  • Familiarity with test automation or advanced diagnostic tooling.
