Summary:
Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, conducting complex producibility studies, and defining production/tooling strategies.
Refines, validates, coordinates, and implements conceptual designs while managing the build program architecture.
Develops and optimizes manufacturing plans.
Performs complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing processes meet requirements.
Resolves complex technical issues and serves as a project manager to ensure contract requirements, specifications, design criteria, and schedules are integrated and maintained.
Leads advanced design solutions and supports the development of new products or business opportunities.
Utilizes Lean Enterprise analysis methods and documents producibility best practices. Provides mentoring and guidance to others.
Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelors degree)
9 or more years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD + 4 years related work experience, Masters + 7 years related work experience).
In the U.S., ABET accreditation is the preferred, though not required, standard.
Build material management experience
Experience creating work instructions
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
