In this role, the Technology Leader – AeroThermal Mechanical Systems will:
- Manage a team of experienced technical leaders, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and technical excellence.
- Support team members’ career growth through effective coaching, mentoring, and development initiatives.
- Drive talent pipeline development to cultivate the next generation of senior technical leaders.
- Oversee technical capability assessments and collaborate with Technology Managers to plan future technical capability needs.

- Promote cross-disciplinary collaboration to enhance continuous learning, innovative thinking, and customer value delivery.

Required Qualifications:- Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with 20+ years of relevant experience, including 10+ years leading engineering teams or large-scale projects.

- Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to have a current or active Secret Clearance with an ability to attain a Top Secret Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.
Desired Qualifications: - Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with 15+ years of relevant research and development experience, including 10+ years leading research teams.
- Established technical expert with breadth and depth across multiple aerospace relevant capabilities, including, but not limited to aerodynamics, combustion, structures, turbomachinery, and thermodynamics.
- Strong record of publication and speaking engagements that demonstrates recognition as a thought leader in propulsion, power, and/or turbomachinery.
- Extensive track record of transitioning immature technologies into aerospace product environments.
- Demonstrated success influencing and collaborating with US government agencies, including Department of Defense, Department of Energy, NASA, and national laboratories.
- Strong knowledge of GE Aerospace, including familiarity with its organizations and stakeholders.
- Experience working on U.S. Government classified programs.
The base pay range for this position is $150,000 - $275,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on July 25th, 2025.
