About the role
You will be responsible to lead end-to-end catering operations and compliance strategy, ensuring world-class service delivery and full regulatory adherence across Qatar Airways Catering Services. You will drive continuous improvement and innovation by aligning food service excellence with robust governance frameworks. You will also oversee all aspects of catering compliance while ensuring compliance with food safety, regulatory standards, and internal policies. This role will also develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance catering services, optimize operational efficiency, and uphold the highest levels of food quality and safety further to mitigate risks and maintain ethical standards.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain food safety and hygiene protocols aligned with local and international standards ensuring full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to food production, handling, storage, and service.
- Work closely with the regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with emerging regulatory changes for environmental, labor and Halal.
- Lead and manage multiple procurement projects, prioritised according to company’s sustainability project
- Maintain the Halal vision and strategy ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
- Oversee auditing program on all suppliers, maintain records and design long-term strategies for catering growth, innovation, and service improvement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations by conducting regular training and audits to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in all catering operations.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on operational performance using data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure that all catering services comply with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies to identify and minimize risk exposure in catering operations by deploying a comprehensive compliance framework to protect the business and its reputation.
- Enhance the organization’s brand by championing sustainability, traceability, and food ethics across all catering practices, as measured by industry certifications, and customer feedbacks.
- Nurture the team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. This includes setting performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and supporting professional development.
