Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an Documentation Manager to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system.
This position oversees overall performance, encompassing schedule and quality, while fostering positive customer relationships and ensuring adherence to pertinent standards and specifications. Key responsibilities include promoting professional development, managing employee performance, and ensuring personnel qualification and training. The role also entails supporting various business functions, including resource allocation, risk management, quality assurance, and performance reporting, in accordance with regulatory and company standards. This position performs a range of functional and leadership tasks to drive business objectives and support program area success. Specifically this position will have oversight for programmatic documentation and policy, Technical Information Database Front Matter and electronic descriptive documentation deliverables.
The selected candidate will work at our Rockville, MD site and have the option to choose from three flexible work schedules:
- 5 days/40 hours
- 9-hour days/80 hour pay period with every other Friday off
- 4 days/10 hours a day
Each schedule includes a hybrid requirement, 3 days in the office, Tuesday and Wednesday are uniform across the business and the third day is flexible with manager/supervisor concurrence. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided, and if relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at their own expense. Up to 25 OCONUS travel may be required for this role.
