Raytheon Global ISR Sensors & Software in Westford, MA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director, Site Quality Manager. As the Associate Director, Site Quality Manager, you will be the cornerstone of quality assurance at our Westford site. Your primary mission will be to foster a culture of quality, drive strategic improvements, and lead a matrixed team of up to 20 employees. You will be the key Quality & Mission Assurance (QMA) liaison for various stakeholders, including program teams, customers, and suppliers. You will Champion a quality-focused mindset and practices across the site.
Lead and implement strategic quality improvements. Ensure continuous development and mentorship of your team. Act as the primary QMA interface for programs, customers, and suppliers. Coordinate effectively with supplier quality managers to meet QMA requirements. Address unique challenges in international and domestic programs, leveraging your expertise in Engineering, New Product Introduction (NPI), Supply Chain, and Operations.
What You Will Do
Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
Develop and grow a team of Quality Program Leads.
Prime QMA interface with the program, customers, and supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Responsible for guidance, leadership, and support on all matters pertaining to Advanced EOIR Solutions business including resourcing, technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
Establish effective relationships with internal and external customers with the ability to manage and influence across multiple levels of stakeholders.
Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to our customers, management of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, leadership in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to QMA.
Primary QMA liaison on all matters pertaining to requirements, definitions, technical quality, and program implementation decisions.
Develop and implement strategic and tactical QMA plans that will directly affect the programs execution and influence on-time delivery.
Identify and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives for processes and command media using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills.
Assuring inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program estimates and proposals.
Responsible for effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Failure Review and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
Facilitate the application of statistical process controls to special processes and key product characteristics to ensure products meet end item performance requirements and mission assurance objectives.
Accountable for quality performance and scope responsibility to financial Estimate and Completion (EAC) Reviews and overall Quality EAC planning.
Qualification You Must Have
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and twelve (12) years documented quality or engineering experience within the defense industry.
Minimum 6 years’ customer interface management experience (i.e., Acquisitioned Customers, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)).
Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) Certification or similar required.
Experience in managing and optimizing performance in relation to cost, schedule, and technical objectives, including proficiency in cost accounting methodologies such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
Must have experience with quality performance, scope responsibility, financial estimate and completion reviews, and overall EAC planning
Strong background in related production disciplines, including operations, supply chain management, engineering, and quality assurance, with a focus on optimizing processes and achieving performance objectives
Qualifications We Value

ASQ and EVMS Certification
Proven experience in quality management in aerospace or defense
Exemplary leadership and mentorship abilities
Leadership experience with geographically dispersed teams
Proficiency with IPDS or similar processes
Expertise in cost estimates and BOEs
Background in engineering, supplier engineering, or operations
Successful international assignments
Effective with foreign national customers
Understanding of contract flow and compliance
Skilled in influencing cross-functional and supplier partners
Experience managing budgets over $30M and supporting programs over $1B
Success in reducing costs, maximizing profits, and ensuring customer satisfaction

‒ Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
