Job Description

Job Summary:

The ATMRO Operations Leader will serve as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the VP of ATMRO, who oversees a global organization of 13,000 employees across 24 sites in 17 countries. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, and supporting the VP in executing key initiatives. The ATMRO Operations Leader will lead and facilitate operational meetings, including Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), Weekly Operating Reviews (WORs), and other staff-related engagements. Additionally, this individual will play a pivotal role in developing materials for strategy discussions, investor meetings, and operating reviews within CES and GE Aerospace. The ATMRO Operations leader will also engage in FLIGHT DECK related activities such as Kaizen weeks, VSM exercises and Shin events to help drive operational improvement across the ATMRO network.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage the schedule for MORs, WORs, and other staff-related meetings.
  • Generate meeting topics, ensure site leaders adhere to standard materials, and coach leaders on operating rhythm standards.
  • Drive consistency and quality in meeting preparation and execution across all sites. 
  • Assist the VP of ATMRO in developing presentations and materials for strategy discussions, investor meetings, and operating reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and data to support strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of materials with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to site leaders on operating rhythm standards and expectations.
  • Ensure sites are aligned with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between the VP and site leaders to drive accountability and performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies, including Kaizen, Kata, and Hoshin Kanri.
  • Implement standard work practices to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or MRO operations, with a focus on aerospace or related industries.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.

Desired Skills and experiences:

  • Familiarity & experience with GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK operating system or similar lean methodologies.
  • Experience working and influencing within a global, matrixed organization to drive outcomes related to SQDC. Specifically using problem solving or kaizen frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills used to identify root causes in order to develop robust, impactful countermeasures.
