Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM start (OT as needed)
Overview
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of custom, first-of-their-kind machine systems. This role requires strong hands-on experience with precision tools, troubleshooting, and working with complex mechanical assemblies in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, integrate, and test custom mechanical systems using drawings and work instructions
- Interpret engineering drawings, models, and P&IDs
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues; perform rework and repairs as needed
- Conduct inspections and verify hardware against specifications
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, lifts)
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc.)
- Support continuous improvement, safety (5S/FOD), and workspace organization
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of mechanical assembly or integration experience (Level II–III)
- Experience working with tight tolerances and high-value components
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with cranes, forklifts, and working at heights
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and lifting up to 40 lbs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
