The instructor will conduct, and assist in the development of, maintenance training programs to enhance the skills of trainees. The instructor will conduct a platform and other instruction with trainee assessment and will provide remedial training where necessary.

The instructor will review/amend course material in order to ensure training effectiveness. S/he will also maintain records of training activities and of student attendance.

• Civilian aircraft maintenance license or certificate, e.g. (Mechanical) A&P certificate or B1 license.
• A bachelor’s degree in an aircraft maintenance discipline (Airframe/Powerplant, Electrical/Avionics; Aircraft Maintenance technology) is highly desirable.
• Instructional techniques /‘Train-the-Trainer’ certificate and/or acceptance/ approval/certification by a civilian/military agency/organization is highly desirable;

Experience:

• Instructor will have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience teaching technical (maintenance) material with a related aircraft/engine/major component manufacturer, or within a military/civilian aircraft maintenance organization; OR
• Instructor will have a minimum of eight (8) years of practical experience in the required discipline (A&P or Avionics) with a demonstrated aptitude for instructing;
• Prior experience working with military aviation units is preferred; and
• Knowledge of, and experience in, training methodologies and management utilizing a systems approach (SAT or ADDIE) is highly desirable.
