At Parker’s Industrial Process Filtration Division, we collaborate with our customers to offer filtration solutions for complex contaminant management issues. Our aim is to enhance product quality and safeguard critical equipment against maintenance issues and downtime.
The Industrial Process Filtration Division directly supports North America. In addition, IPF works with our global Parker Hannifin regional entities to leverage IPF products across the globe.
Position Summary
To safely, efficiently and expeditiously coordinate all aspects of commercial logistics for domestic or international shipments, while complying with applicable regulations and ensuring that products, as specified by work orders and/or other shipping documentation, reach customers in a timely, compliant and cost-effective manner. To safely, efficiently and expeditiously ensure that logistics for intra-plant material requirements are identified, specified, coordinated and moved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities

For domestic shipments responsibilities, the duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, to include ordering transportation and completing required documentation, such as, bills of lading, packing lists and labels.
- Enter shipping transactions.
- Maintain accurate, organized and comprehensive files, to include certificates of insurance for approved transport companies.
- Scan required documents into the MRP/ERP operating system.
- Order and schedule transportation for offsite processes, such as, rework and heat treating;
- completing required documentation and data entry.
- Track upcoming and daily shipments via the back log.
- Maintain Traffic status boards.
- Ensure that the office area is maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Follow the 5S system.
For international shipments responsibilities, all of the above duties apply, plus:
- Review all export documentation, commercial invoices, purchase orders and etc., paying particular attention to the accuracy of contractual terms and compliance with appropriate regulations.
- File SLI documents via Automated Export System (AES) documents, as required.
- Initiate and send Letters of Instruction (LOI) and Certificates of Origin (COO) to forwarders for international shipments.
- Prepare country-specific documents as either stand-alone or consulate signature packets, as appropriate
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to the following:
- At least 6 months in a domestic or international traffic management environment, a plus.
- Can be an entry level position, with on-the-job training.
- Knowledge of INCO terms, a plus
- Bi-lingual in Spanish, a plus.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read a standard tape measure.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office tools is required.
- Knowledge of current MRP/ERP system is preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma and/or GED.
- Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, non-controlled temperature environments, moderate to high noise levels and harmful light emitted by welding machinery and flying metal particles, only, if and when, the employee is in the shipping or shop areas. The duties of this job are primarily performed in climate-controlled temperature office environments, with low to moderate noise levels and fluorescent, incandescent and/or natural lighting.
