Technical Data Maintenance Engineer (d/f/m)At Airbus, we&39;re at the forefront of shaping the future of aerospace. As a Technical Data Maintenance Engineer (d/f/m), you&39;ll join our international Aircraft Systems department as a vital part of our &34;Technical Data in Customer Services&34; operational unit.
Your core mission will be to ensure the safety and efficiency of aircraft maintenance operations by delivering and maintaining complete, accurate documentation throughout an aircraft&39;s entire lifecycle. You&39;ll be instrumental in developing and providing critical content for manuals such as the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC). This role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact global aviation safety and customer success.
Your locationYou will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilitiesManage and coordinate all technical data authoring activities, including the precise definition and validation of manual content.
Act as a primary point of contact for customer queries, providing prompt, efficient, and expert support.
Proactively identify, mitigate, and follow up on any blocking points, consistently assessing your manual content for quality assurance.
Serve as a crucial interface between the technical data team, airline customers, and all other internal Airbus contributors (e.g., Design Office, Programs, Delivery Center, other Customer Services units).
Participate actively in internal, external, and transnational projects focused on enhancing our products and processes.
Desired skills and qualificationsEducation: A Bachelor&39;s or Master&39;s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (or similar), or a completed technical apprenticeship (e.g., in aviation) with relevant further training/education.
Experience: Initial experience in direct customer contact and managing tight deadlines is a plus.
Tools: Knowledge of data analytics, programming tools (e.g., Python), or 3D tools (e.g., CATIA) is an advantage. Project management experience is also desirable.
Working Style: A smart, methodical way of working, as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new requirements. Make existing processes better and be open to new ways of doing things.
Personality: You are open-minded, enjoy challenging existing practices, and are a valuable team member who thrives in a multicultural environment.
Languages: Negotiation-level English is required; good German skills are a plus.
