Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
Target salary range: $120,000 - $160,000.00
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
- Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities
- Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies
- Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
- Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
- Develop technical documentation, including system architecture and system design documentation
- Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
- Interact with the Product Owner regarding System Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
- Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the System Engineering area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active SAP/SCI Clearance Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field from an accredited institution.(Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.)
- 15+ years of experience in systems engineering on programs of similar scope, complexity, and type.
- Active DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level or above is required.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience using Sentinel system (formerly known as GBSD).
- Expertise using Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration, scripting, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
- Full software development lifecycle experience: specification, design, implementation, integration, debugging, and maintenance.
- Experience with safety- and mission-critical development standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-330, AFMAN 91-119).
- Strong understanding of structured, process-driven development environments including:
- Peer reviews
- Version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Defect tracking
- Build and release best practices
