Synopsis
The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing applications that are aligned to best practices and standards set by the Software Engineering chapter.
Accountabilities
- Contribute to the low-level architecture/technical design aligned to the high-level solution and business requirements
- Perform peer code reviews, providing feedback and recommendations to continuously improve the quality of the team
- Provide recommendations on coding standards and best practices
- Work within the agile development team to analyse and decompose stories into tasks for simpler implementation
- Proactively identify new frameworks/tools/processes to enhance the efficiency of the development team
- Responsible for the end to end quality of your own deliverables
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members throughout all the implementation lifecycle
Education & Experience
- 4-6 year’s experience following the Scrum methodology (certified is desirable)
- 4-6 year’s experience in software development, including the full development life cycle
- Knowledge of SAFe is desirable
- 4-6 year’s experience working in a fast paced software engineering environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to provide good technical inputs to low-level design/technical design
- Ability to interact with Solution Architects
- Knowledge of design patterns, industry best practices and standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree is mandatory
