Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a highly motivated, organized and strategic Electrical-Electronic Test Equipment Engineer in Huntsville, AL. This individual will serve as a Test Equipment Engineer supporting our Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Equipment ensuring production equipment reliability throughout the equipment lifecycle.
We use predictive analytics and systematic problem solving to perform the RIGHT maintenance at the RIGHT time to keep our systems running at the most optimum efficiency and prevent customer impact due to downtime. We also support design improvements and next generation electronics concept upgrades in support of production and special test equipment design.

Position Responsibilities:
Provide engineering expertise in test equipment
Support team members performing engineering and technical activities
Validate analysis of technical data, influence product engineering design and make technical recommendations
Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements
Participate in tool/equipment try-outs to ensure requirements are met
Evaluate customer and/or operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
Support continuous process optimization
Retrieve and analyze production and downtime data from multiple sources to generate a clear picture of asset reliability and major downtime drivers
Lead Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts and drive results of the RCCA to production
Participate in and lead Autonomous Maintenance Workshops (AMW) with production and maintenance personnel
Drive connectivity of equipment automation to our metrics and supporting functions for current and long-term objectives
Develop and author preventative maintenance programs and identify spares for production equipment
Work with minimal supervision in a cross-functional team alongside specialists from manufacturing, quality, safety, and Engineering
Contribute to the effectiveness of the organization by communicating, collaborating, teaching, and mentoring others
Ability to occasionally work flexible hours and overtime
Support design of automated test equipment, development of engineering documentation, and hardware fabrication, integration, and validation testing.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
9+ years of related experience
5+ years of experience with test equipment, troubleshooting electronics and performing tests on various products and assemblies using manual or automated test devices
Hands-on lab experience with power or analog electronics testing or test methodology
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Subject Matter Expert with test equipment experience
Experience utilizing lab electronic testing tools (Digital Multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Function Generators, ...)

Summary pay range: $138,850 - $185,150
