Job Description:

A vacancy for a Certification Qualification Engineer position on H160 Program has arisen within Airbus Helicopters.

You will join the Airworthiness Department of Airbus Helicopters in Marignane and become part of the Chief Airworthiness Engineer&39;s (CAE) Team for H160 Program to support the safety of our products by managing the Certification, Qualification and initial Airworthiness activities for your program. It includes new helicopter type certification, changes to existing helicopter type certificates and flight clearances.

 The Certification/Qualification Engineer is responsible to ensure that the design changes on the Helicopter comply with the applicable airworthiness requirements and ensure their in-service safety.  You will be managing  the Certification and Qualification activities to meet the development and deliveries milestones (new and retrofit) of the program. 

Each Project involves various contributors (Chief Engineering, designers, internal and external specialists, customer support, prototype shop, Final Assembly Line, ...).

As Certification Qualification Engineer, you will be the liaison to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and other foreign civil or military aviation authorities to validate the certification basis as well as the certification strategy and means of compliance (lab/ground/flight testing, Safety analysis...), in addition to authority involvement (document acceptance, test witnessing, in-house reviews...).

This results in a challenging transverse position, including internal negotiation but also with civil and millitary Aviation Authorities worldwide, with great responsibilities, and a good overview on our products, on our systems and on our organization.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :

Your mission is to manage certification and qualification activities for the H160 Helicopters, in an international environment.

To achieve this you will have to:

• Identify/define the applicable Certification / Qualification basis for future H160 evolutions
• Define the Certification/qualification Program, elaborate and harmonize (internally / externally) the certification & qualification strategy, which includes the identification of applicable regulatory requirements and the associated Means of Compliance 

 • Coordinate the creation and delivery of the compliance demonstrations documents in accordance with the Certification Program.
• Validate those demonstrations of compliance and harmonize them with Authorities.
• Produce the certification / qualification synthesis documents and harmonize them with authorities.
• Approve design changes under DOA privileges.

• Obtain the permit to fly or contribute to the obtainment in case of cooperation projects.

 • Influence and contribute to the harmonization of the future Certifications (e.g. in the frame of offers, ..)
 

In parallel, the position could offer, in the future, the opportunity to:

• Be a key player for the harmonization of the certification processes, for continuous improvement and DOA on H160.
• Promote our Roles & Responsibilities and associated processes within Airbus Helicopters and in front of our Authorities.
• Be the point of contact of all airworthiness/qualification topics relative to H160 in front of internal customers/suppliers (Design, Project, Configuration, Support & Services ...) as well as external ones (authorities, partners).
• Become authorized signatory and responsible within the design assurance system including the whole process of certification and qualification.
• Manage a transversal team for a given certification/qualification project.

Required skills :
  

You need to have the following skills and experience:

      Educated to a 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.

      At least 1 year of overall experience in design office.

• Experience in a regulatory environment is a plus

Un poste d’ingénieur Certification et Qualification sur le programme H160 est à pourvoir chez Airbus Helicopters.

Vous rejoindrez le bureau de navigabilité d’Airbus Helicopters à Marignane et deviendrez membre de l’équipe du “Chief Airworthiness Engineer” (CAE) du programme H160, afin de garantir la sécurité de nos hélicoptères, en réalisant les activités de certification, qualification, et les activités de navigabilité initiales pour votre programme. Cela inclut les activités d’obtention de certification de type, de certification de modification à la définition de type, et des mises en vol.
 

L’ingénieur de Certification/Qualification s’assure que les modifications de design sur l’hélicoptère sont conformes aux exigences de navigabilité applicables afin d’assurer la sécurité des vols. Il ou elle est responsable de piloter les activités de certification et qualification nécessaires pour atteindre les objectifs de développement et de livraison.

 Chaque projet implique de nombreux contributeurs (ingénieurs en chef, concepteurs, spécialistes internes et externes, support à la clientèle, équipe prototype, production).

L’ingénieur Certification / Qualification est le point focal pour les autorités de certification, avec pour but de leur faire valider les bases de certification ainsi que la stratégie de certification et les moyens de conformité (tests en vol/sol/laboratoire, analyse de sécurité, …), ainsi que l’implication des autorités (approbation des documents, participation aux essais, audits…).

Cela résulte en une position transverse, incluant de la négociation aussi bien en interne qu’en externe avec les autorités de certification civiles et militaires, avec des responsabilités fortes, et une vision transverse de nos produits, systèmes et organisation.

Cette position requiert une autorisation de la part de la sécurité ou des autorités concernées.

Tâches et responsabilités :

Votre mission sera de réaliser les activités de certification et de qualification des hélicoptères H160 dans un environnement international.

Pour cela, vous devrez:

• Identifier / définir les exigences réglementaires applicables pour les activités de certification et qualification sur le H160.
• Définir les programmes de certification et qualification, élaborer et harmoniser (en interne et externe) les stratégies de certification et de qualification, ce qui inclut l’identification de la réglementation applicable et des moyens de conformité.
• Coordonner la création et la livraison des démonstrations de conformité, en accord avec le programme de certification.

• Valider ces démonstrations de conformité et les harmoniser avec les autorités.

• Produire les documents de synthèse de certification / qualification et les harmoniser avec les autorités.

• Approuver les changements à la définition sous privilège

• Influencer et contribuer à l’harmonisation des futures certifications. (dans le cadre d’offres) 

• Obtenir les autorisations de vol

En parallèle, cette position offre, dans l’avenir, la possibilité de:

• Être un acteur clé dans l’harmonisation des processus de certification, ou d’amélioration continue, ou dans le cadre de de notre Organisation de Design.
• Promouvoir nos Rôles et Responsabilités et processus associés au sein d’Airbus Helicopters, ou face à nos autorités
• Être le point de contact pour tout sujet de certification et qualification du H160, face à nos clients / fournisseurs internes (métiers, Projet, Configuration) et externes (autorités, partenaires)
• Devenir un personnel autorisé pour réaliser un certain nombre d’activités de certification.
• Coordonner une équipe transverse.

Compétences requises :
  

Vous devez avoir les compétences ou expérience:

Diplôme Bac &43; 5 en école d’ingénieur.

Au moins 1 an d’expérience en bureau d’étude

• Une expérience dans un environnement réglementaire est un plus
