PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Engineering Design (DFT) Specialist to support ASIC development projects for next-generation aerospace systems. As part of our high-impact design team, you’ll help develop testable, reliable hardware that powers critical aerospace advancements.
What You’ll Do:Lead Design-for-Testability (DFT) initiatives for ASIC design projects.
Perform RTL coding using VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog.
Implement hierarchical scan testing, test compression, JTAG (IEEE-1149.x), and logic/memory BIST techniques.
Generate and analyze test patterns; debug test failures in collaboration with test engineers.
Work with ATPG tools (Cadence, Mentor) to enhance design test coverage.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support the full ASIC development lifecycle.
Operate within structured engineering processes to meet stringent aerospace standards.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of experience; OR Master’s degree with 6+ years.
Hands-on experience with ASIC design lifecycle and DFT methodologies.
Expertise with Cadence and/or Mentor test insertion and ATPG tools.
Skilled in HDL (VHDL/Verilog/System Verilog) and scripting languages like Tcl, Python, or Perl.
Experience with JTAG, test compression, and memory/logic BIST.
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Expertise with Cadence Modus DFT tools.
Familiarity with Synthesis, Place & Route (P&R), and Static Timing Analysis.

Pay Details: $73.29 to $93.87 per hour
