$72.13-$86.53/Hour

Responsibilities:
Build and configure development environments on new hardware to support application teams
Guide development teams on high availability, performance tuning, and system resiliency strategies
Deploy and manage WebSphere applications in production environments through go-live
Troubleshoot WAS issues and implement ongoing improvements for performance and reliability
Create and maintain operational documentation, including configuration, policies, and deployment processes
Ensure the security and integrity of WAS environments by implementing enterprise-grade controls and procedures
Support backend application integration with Oracle databases
Maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field(OR Master’s with 7+ years, OR PhD with 4+ years of experience)
Certified IBM Deployment/Administration Professional in WebSphere
4+ years of hands-on experience in WebSphere Application Server (WAS) development, deployment, configuration, and administration
Proven expertise with application performance tuning, troubleshooting, and environment monitoring
Strong understanding of enterprise Java application architecture and middleware integration
Experience supporting Oracle database backends for application services
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
- Preferred Skills:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in middleware deployments
Familiarity with WebSphere ND (Network Deployment) and clustering
Scripting knowledge (Shell, Jython, or other automation tools)
Knowledge of SSL/TLS certificates and secure middleware configuration
