Job Description:
Airbus Commercial is looking for an Avionics System Designer (m/f) to join our Communication & Sensing Systems Department based in Toulouse, France.
While joining our department within the Toulouse Design Office you’ll be able to work on all Airbus Platforms (Single Aisle, Long Range, A380, A350, A400M):
Answering Programs objectives for both Aircraft developments and Aircraft deliveries
Supporting Customer services teams
Supporting Future Airbus Strategy, as a key contributor to move towards further Greener, connected and Autonomous Aircraft.

Your challenges:
Contribute to specify systems for on-going development of major projects
Contribute to support our systems operated in service
Contribute to study what will be to future technological bricks to support future Systems architectures in the frame of new Aircraft development.
Coordinate with various Interfaces: Airbus interfaces (programs, test teams, Certification & Safety representatives) and external Interfaces (Systems Suppliers, Regulatory Bodies, standardization committees...)
Providing support to the Work Package Leaders for suppliers and subcontractor steering
Drive introduction of new technologies (sensors or Artificial Intelligence) within the aeronautical industry and new methods based on Data Analysis and Model-Based System Engineering to improve efficiency of in-service support activities.
Your boarding pass:
An aeronautical / systems / avionics engineering degree (or equivalent) and experience, ideally in one or more of the following areas: Communication systems, Radio Navigation systems, Surveillance systems, Probes
Systems software / hardware specification and development
Negotiation level of English
Intermediate level of French with a willingness to learn is desirable
Some business travels are expected in this role. As such you must be able to travel accordingly (Europe or United States) at a frequency of maximum 3 travels per year (one week each).
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
