Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.Based in the Air Canada Montreal Headquarters and reporting to the Manager, Revenue Management, the Flight Revenue Analyst is responsible to optimize revenue by flight on assigned routes covering Asia, Latin America, Europe, North America and the Caribbean spanets, through analysis/forecasting of passenger demand and fares. Achieve optimal seat inventory allocations and network revenue maximization in support of spaneting strategies.
Responsibilities:Forecast on-going seasonal passenger demand at the flight level based on: historical data, changes in capacity, current yield strategies, the prevailing competitive and spanet forces and other influential external factors.Analyze passenger demand in order to determine and implement optimal seat inventory allocation strategies.Analyze flight-booking profiles on a systematic basis, to ensure optimal seat inventory allocations and to identify incremental profit opportunities, which can be achieved by changes to the yield and pricing strategies and the schedule.Identify strong and weak flights and take appropriate actions.Develop and maintain expert knowledge/understanding of the booking demand curve, the effects of current spanet and competitive forces, spanet strategies and network flows.Produce and analyze management information reports to support decision making and to audit implemented inventory strategies. Interface with Market Management, Pricing, Scheduling, Reservations, Finance Jazz, SOC/ Day of Flight, Airports, Codeshare partners, Schedule Change Coordinators, Wholesalers, Sales and Aeroplan, on daily operational, commercial and customer service issues.Develop and maintain expertise on revenue management tools and techniques, as well as spaneting information systems.
QualificationsUniversity or College degree3 years of relevant experienceSolid business/commercial orientation and experience as well as an understanding of the airline industry competitive environmentAbility to work on multiple tasks and to prioritize heavy workloads and tight deadlines.Ability to work under general direction.Team playerStrong leadership, analytical, interpersonal and presentation skillsAdvanced knowledge of computers, Excel and Word applications. Knowledge of Access is an asset.University degree required. Studies in mathematics, economics or statistics would be an asset.Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
