Morson is currently an experienced Electrical Planner to join BAE’s FalconWorks IPT team at Warton, supporting the development of aircraft programme scope of work. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in Manufacturing Engineering and hands-on experience in electrical systems within the aerospace industry.
In this role, you will:
Translate design information (CAD models, BOMs, circuit drawings, material and manufacturing process specs) into processes supporting Loom Assembly, End Make Off data, and installation, ensuring the original design intent is met.
Generate manufacturing build instructions using SAPCAMS planning tool or equivalent electronic planning tools.
Support the production of aircraft builds, including electrical looms, components, amalgamations, racks and panels, assemblies, and installations.
Generate wire kit definitions.
Create Loom Assembly and Loom Installation Manufacturing Engineering planning.
Produce end make-off instructions.
Support all Operations tasks as required.
Knowledge of the following work areas, preferably in an aircraft setting:
Loom manufacture
Loom installation
Wire testing (continuity)
PLM toolsets (preferably Team Centre 14 Unified)
CAD data manipulation (NX / Catia)
Wiring diagrams (2D / Wire Data Management System)
Ability to:
Solve complex problems, balance business and customer requirements, and resolve issues efficiently.
Adhere to schedules and optimise business outputs.
Work effectively within a team and liaise with build teams.
Synthesise and communicate project information for both internal and external stakeholders.
Able to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, standards, and processes.
HNC in a relevant discipline or completion of a Craft/Technician Apprenticeship.
Experience in Electrical Manufacturing roles, especially Electrical Loom Assembly and installation to build processes.
5 days per week (Monday – Friday) within site span hours (06:30 – 19:00 Mon–Thurs; 06:30 – 12:30 Fri).
Standard working hours: 37 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks).
Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management.
Lunch break (unpaid) of 30 minutes (12:30 – 13:00), automatically deducted.
Flexibility required as workload may dictate longer or shorter hours.
